Enriching Young Minds

Lakewood’s Specialty Programs enrich each child’s journey with faith-based Bible Study, active physical education, hands-on science in BioAcademia, and immersive French nurturing the mind, body, and spirit in a joyful, well-rounded Montessori environment.

Bible Study

Lakewood offers a Christian faith-based curriculum for all students in YCC to Elementary.

The Bible Study curriculum is designed to promote and develop the mind, body and soul of our students, as well as build the child’s relationship with God, others and the world. Students are moved to a deeper understanding of what it means to have a relationship with our creator and are encouraged to be a follower of Christ through daily devotions, Bible study/stories and times of prayer.

Spiritually and emotionally students will:

  • Develop self-discipline, responsibility and accountability.
  • Display attitudes of love and respect towards the Bible, to themselves, and to each other.
  • Have gratitude that their talents are from God and are to be used to love and serve one another.

Lakewood Lions Physical Education

Physical Education is crucial part of our program at Lakewood. We want to foster holistic development, promoting physical fitness, gross motor movement, skills, coordination, balance and social-emotional growth. We respect the child’s need for movement and encourage healthy growth and development.

Lakewood’s Lions 4 Pillars

  • Never Give Up
  • Be Brave
  • Be Confident
  • Be You

Improving Concentration, Memory and Encouraging Healthy Lifestyle:

At Lakewood we give importance to the correlation between physical activity and academic performance, as regular engagement in fitness and sports improves concentration and memory and a strong and healthy mindset. We aim to instill in our students a positive attitude towards healthy, active lifestyles.

Lakewood’s BioAcademia

Lakewood’s BioAcademia program is the study of zoology and botany. This program fosters a deep appreciation for the natural world through hands-on exploration and observation, covering topics like animal and plant life cycles, classification, and ecosystems all year round, indoors and outdoors.

Lakewood’s French Program

Lakewood’s French program integrates the principles of the Montessori method with French language instruction, through immersive activities, stories, songs, and games, to foster a natural and enjoyable learning experience for young children.
